I first Helen Kithinji in person in February 2017, and was in total awe of her energy, her infectious smile and the kindness that excluded from her as a person. Little did I know that a few months later, I would be asked to collect her from the airport in my hometown for a training event that Helen was doing in Durban South Africa. I got to spend two amazing days with her and without me even realizing she became not only a friend, she became my mentor from afar. As I live in South Africa and Helen lives in Kenya, one would think that her impact on me surely could not be that massive considering the distance right? Wrong! This meeting has led to Helen coaching and mentoring me to become a public speaker, guiding me from the first minute she met me in her quiet, subtle yet powerful way , and because of her I have got to not only work and train with her , she has mentored me to become a trainer and mentor myself . Attending the Sparkplug Vision Board Workshop was about putting myself first to think about what I want to achieve in my life. As a corporate leader, working in the financial industry, I spend a lot of time supporting my employer and clients towards reaching their objectives. So, that day was about self-love. I really enjoyed the step by step methodology to the vision boarding exercise that Helen, the head coach, subscribes to. We kicked off the day with some quiet time, putting down our dreams on paper. This was followed by a coaching session with her on visualising big, asking big and freeing ourselves from the shackles of thinking small. In a world where everything has gone digital, Helens traditional vision boarding approach of using magazine cut-outs instead digital images was impactful. Every snip of the scissors, the process of gluing and assembling images in my own personal style, forced me to really internalise what I wanted #mindfulness. It’s been a year now, and I feel I have moved leaps and bounds towards my life goals. There is something about looking at my dreams every morning when I wake up, that’s has given me clarity and made me intentional in pursuit of my goals. I wake up energised and ready to conquer the world every day, because I know that I deserve it and I am doing it for me.
With an extensive background in Network Marketing, I’ve been around a variety of leaders around the world. Helen carries herself with such poise and class, but still commands the respect of her team as a leader. Why? Because she leads by example, she does what she says and she puts others’ needs ahead of those of her own. Time after time and again and again, i have witnessed the love her team has for her as a leader… I’m grateful to call her a friend and to be able to associate with her and her team on a frequent basis.

My first impression on Helen was her kindness and sincerity, which is very refreshing for a professional coach. As I continued to work with her I realized how knowledgeable she is and how easy it is to work with her.
