Attending the Sparkplug Vision Board Workshop was about putting myself first to think about what I want to achieve in my life. As a corporate leader, working in the financial industry, I spend a lot of time supporting my employer and clients towards reaching their objectives. So, that day was about self-love. I really enjoyed the step by step methodology to the vision boarding exercise that Helen, the head coach, subscribes to. We kicked off the day with some quiet time, putting down our dreams on paper. This was followed by a coaching session with her on visualising big, asking big and freeing ourselves from the shackles of thinking small. In a world where everything has gone digital, Helens traditional vision boarding approach of using magazine cut-outs instead digital images was impactful. Every snip of the scissors, the process of gluing and assembling images in my own personal style, forced me to really internalise what I wanted #mindfulness. It’s been a year now, and I feel I have moved leaps and bounds towards my life goals. There is something about looking at my dreams every morning when I wake up, that’s has given me clarity and made me intentional in pursuit of my goals. I wake up energised and ready to conquer the world every day, because I know that I deserve it and I am doing it for me.
